26/01/2024: Here is the latest news update….these updates will be given as needed until the new season commences.
Membership: The club offers the choice of membership or lotto/membership combined. There are also family and multiple children discounts available. The rates remain the same as in 2022 and 2023. As per GAA rules, all membership is due by 1st January each year and all those who are not including the lotto with their membership will have received renewal emails and should please renew as soon as possible. For those availing of lotto membership, a text message/email will be sent out when your 2023 lotto subscription has expired. All Membership can be renewed here.
Fixtures:
U18 League - The Kildysart/Coolmeen U18 team will be the first on the pitch this year with an opening match in mid-February.
Senior Men- Kildysart Seniors will once again be headed up by David Butler with John O’Sullivan continuing as coach. The team will play their 5th consecutive year in the Cusack Cup since being promoted in 2019. Miltown and Doora Barefield will be competing in this year’s Cusack Cup having been promoted, while Doonbeg and Corofin will be in the Garry Cup. The opening round will take place over Paddy’s weekend. The team has also entered the O’Gorman Cup competition with that opener normally taking place on the first weekend in March.
Win a House Ticket Draw: There are a few days remaining to enter the Win a House in Ennis Draw. The first prize is a 4 bedroomed house in Ennis or €330,000 in cash with many other prizes. Tickets can be bought online here and the draw takes place on Monday 29th January. Kildysart GAA club gets €20 for every online ticket sold where we are chosen as the nominated club.
JP McManus Donation: The club wishes to thank JP and Noreen McManus and their family for their generous donation to all GAA & LGFA clubs in the country.
Allianz League: We wish Emmet McMahon, Diarmuid O’Donnell, Fergal Ginnane and the Clare Footballers the best of luck as they start their 2024 campaign on this Sunday (28th Jan) with a home match v Sligo. Throw-in is at 2:00 in Cusack Park. Tickets are €12 for adults and €10 for students/OAP and can be purchased here.
The hurlers start their campaign the following week (4th Feb) hosting Cork in Cusack Park at 1:45.
Lidl Ladies National Football League: Clare Ladies are hoping to build on their big win away to Wexford last week when they take on Sligo in round 2 on Sunday. Throw-in is at 12 noon at the Astro Turf pitch in Clarecastle. Tickets are €10 for adults and €5 for students/OAP and can be purchased here.
Development Draw: The final development draw will be held in the back room of the hall on Sunday 11th February at 11:45. There are 18 prizes worth €3,400 up for grabs. The club wishes to once again thank all who supported this fundraiser.
Lotto: The jackpot is €3,800 and three tickets can be purchased for as little as €5 with no commitment by tapping here. Lotto is also available in the pubs and shops and outside Centra on Friday and Saturday from 10-1pm.
