Here in Kildysart GAA/LGFA, we are building an awareness campaign regarding the responsibilities shared by us all when it comes to Child Protection and Child Welfare issues.

The safeguarding of our members will always be a key priority as we recognise that the welfare of the child is of paramount importance.  Every player, member, and parent who registers with Kildysart agrees to abide by The Code of Behaviour so it must be read carefully. It is all of our responsibility to ensure the best practice is implemented in Kildysart GAA/LGFA.

As each club policy is reviewed and updated it will be published on the Club Policy page of the website making it easily accessible to members.  
 
If you have a concern you can contact the club's Children's Officer Sinead Fox (086 154 5604) or Designated Liaison Person Noel Garry (chairperson) (087 980 1985).  Please remember that the majority of breaches of our Code of Behaviour are in fact instances of poor or bad practice and with the cooperation of all concerned, may be rectified and may not occur again.

The role of the Children's Officer is to assist in promoting a child and youth-centred ethos of Kildysart GAA/LGFA and to be the link between children/young people and the adults within the club. Club Children’s Officer ensures the implementation and promotion of the relevant Child Welfare and Protection Codes and Guidelines for good practice in the Club, so as to ensure that young people can participate, enjoy and benefit from our Gaelic Games in safe and enjoyable surroundings.
