Results:

The Kildysart Ladies are through to the Division 4 League Final, having been undefeated in their round matches, when they drew with Kilmihil on Friday last, Kildysart 0-8 to Kilmihil 1-5.  Having led for most of the match, the Blues found themselves behind by a point in the closing minutes.  A last-gasp point from Niamh O’Keefe to level it up gave them a share of the spoils and the top spot in their group.  The team faces Miltown 2, who topped the other group, in the final on or before 12th May.

The U16 Ladies team lost a hard-fought Division 4 Cup Final to Kilmihil on Sunday last, 1-9 to 2-4. Having been down 6 points to 1 at halftime, the Kildysart girls dug deep to go ahead 2-4 to 0-8 before Kilmihil raided for their goal.  The team will play the Shield final against Parteen Meelick on or before 30th April.

The U14 Ladies started their league campaign with a home win against Doora Barefield 3 this evening (Tuesday) 6-4 to 4-7.

Munster Football Final

For the first time in nearly 9 decades, the Clare footballers are in successive Munster Finals after their momentum-building win away to Waterford on Saturday last, Clare 2-20, Waterford 1-9.  Emmet McMahon was a big feature in the match knotching up 1-3, with his second score so fantastic that the officials allotted him 2 points for his efforts, which wasn’t corrected until just before the second half.  Diarmuid O’Donnell marked his senior championship debut with two lovely scores when he was sprung from the bench in the 54th minute.  Cusack Park is the venue for the Munster Final showpiece against Kerry on Sunday 5th May with a throw-in time of 1:45.  Let's paint the town Saffron & Blue like last weekend.  As provincial finalists, Clare are guaranteed a spot in the All Ireland Group Stages.
