Summer? What summer? π§οΈπ It may be a bit quiet on the games front, but weβve players involved in the Gaynor Cup , others preparing for the Kennedy Cup β½, more winning Schools Finals π₯, and a few doing battle with the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert πβοΈOur senior team took one look at their week off and decided the sensible thing to do was climb Carrauntoohil ποΈπ€£
On top of that, weβve had players rowing currachs π£ and bringing home trophies π, while somebody somewhere thought it was also a good time to launch a nursery group πΆπStandard GAA club behaviour really. Nothing quiet about it. π

Player Updates
As if football wasnβt enough, our Adult Menβs team decided thereβd be no rest for the wicked and headed off to climb Carrauntoohil at the weekend ποΈπ€£
A big shout-out to Noel Cusack, who led the climb β weβre sure it was an enjoyable day, even if there may be a few sore legs after it! π π
Huge pride in the club for these two π
Isabelle is currently taking part in the Gaynor Cup, while Nicky is getting set for the Kennedy Cup in UL next week.
Best of luck to them both β we are extremely proud and hope they enjoy the experience.
A tough day for Siney and Robbie, who lost out to Down in the Minor Football Tier 2 All-Ireland Quarter Final.
Both can be very proud of their efforts in the Clare jersey, and we are sure this wonβt be the last time we see them involved at county level. They have now turned their focus to the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert respectively. Best of luck to both with the exams ahead. π
Huge congrats to Eimear on being crowned Junior Champion 2026 in the Ocean to City Currach section at the weekend ππ£
Eimerar rowed with Cormac and Γine from Kildysart Currach Club β a brilliant achievement for them all.
A big shout-out too to Siobhan Foley who took part in the adult race with Kilrush Currachs ππ
A huge well done to Noel Kelly, who helped Burrane/Knockerra School claim the Division 4 National School Final title ππ
There was no shortage of support for Noel on the day either, with some very enthusiastic followers more than happy to make an early exit from school to cheer him on π
Hard luck to Coolmeen/Cranny, who put up a very good game.
Wishing Reuben Ginnane the very best of luck as part of the Clare team competing in the Celtic Challenge All-Ireland U17 Division 2 Final this Saturday in Limerick. ππ
Throwback Thursday - Thanks to Seamus McQuaid for the Pictures Clare 1991 Junior All Ireland Champions who were captained by Kildysarts Helen Murphy A few familiar heads below for sure π Some of them youβd recognise quicker now from shouting at the line for their kids, the coaches looking like they havenβt aged a bit, which is hard to believe considering the years of GAA chaos theyβve survived π
π Coach Quote of the Week:
Saturday evening training in the middle of a soccer final β sure the boys will be full of beans and have no interest in the game whatsoever.β π
