21/11/2020: With 2020 being the Year of Firsts, last night the Club held its first ever virtual AGM. Chairperson Tricia Donnellan opened the meeting and ensured everyone was managing with the technology. Secretary Sinead Finn read the minutes of the 2019 AGM followed by a very comprehensive review of the 2020 season. She gave a very detailed report on how the teams progressed during the year despite the impacts of Covid. The Finances were presented by the Treasurer Enda Casey who highlighted that the pause in the lotto during the year has impacted the finances. Membership and lotto made up the bulk of the club's income but that other fundraisers will be needed in 2021 to retain its financial footing. JT Cavanagh agreed to spearhead a lotto sub-committee to increase lotto sales with changing pandemic restrictions. Tricia Donnellan's chairperson's address highlighted the selfless work and flexibility of the executive, coaches and volunteers who embraced the "Return to Play" and made sure as many teams as possible got the opportunity to play and train. She also thanked the generousity of the club's main sponsor David McSweeney of Castle Tile Stone and acknowledged the contributions of the out-going adult mens and ladies managers, Noel Garry and John Byrne.
The nominations were next and these proceeded without fanfare, with John McNelis taking the chair for next year and Tricia Donnellan taking over as Treasurer. The positions of secretary and lotto coordinator remain open and hoped to be filled in the coming weeks.
Ratification of the coaches followed and due to the large talent pool there are only 2 open spots for our 17 mens and ladies teams. Noel O'Grady was ratified as manager of the Mens Intermediate team with John O'Sullivan (Miltown) as coach. He is joined by the backroom team of Jacko Cleary, Kieran Doohan, Terry Murphy and John Murtagh. The position for the ladies Junior A team remains open.

The motions were next during where members expressed their opinions on various matters. To everyone's delight this constructive dialog worked better than expected in a virtual world.
The outgoing chairperson concluded the meeting and welcomed John's leadership for 2021 with everyone looking forward to getting next season underway.
