Congrats to the Kildysart/Coolmeen Minors who got off to a perfect start in their 2016 "A" Championship with a win over Naomh Eoin/O'Curry's in wintry conditions in Cross last night 9 points to 7. Playing with the breeze, Naomh Eoin/O'Curry's went in front with scores from Owen Lynch & Odhran Lynch. It took Kildysart/Coolmeen until the 22nd minute for Kieran O'Brien to register their first score and this was followed by another from Darragh Cleary to see the sides level at half time, 2 points a piece.  In the second half, Kildysart/Coolmeen made good use of the breeze landing 3 unanswered scores before Naomh Eoin/O'Curry got a score from a pointed free in the 40th minute. Kildysart/Coolmeen pulled ahead with another purple patch putting 5 between the sides (8pts to 3) with 10 minutes remaining. The boys from the peninsula launched a resurgence to come within 2 but Kildysart/Coolmeen held them off.
