24/0-3/2023: This year marks the 10th anniversary of Kildysart GAA becoming the first One-Club model in Clare incorporating Ladies Football into our club. That year we fielded teams in U12, U10 & U8. It is great to see the growth in the club where we now field ladies' teams in U14, U16, U18 & Adults.

Match report from the first ladies' U12 match played 10 years ago today: The newly formed Kildysart Ladies U12 team played their inaugural match on Sunday 24th March (2013) v Kilmihil and although the scoreboard shows we lost, for the girls and the club it was a great success. In 2013, the Kildysart GAA club incorporated ladies' U12, U10 & U8 teams into the club to accommodate the expanding number of under-age players. Having the facility to play the girls and boys separately gives all players equal opportunity to develop and enjoy football.

The Kildysart team, which includes 8 girls from the Kildysart National School Girls’ team who contested the Cumann na mBunscol final last June played good football but were overcome by a stronger Kilmihil team. The final score was 3-5 to 1 point, with captain Chloe Sheehan getting us on the scoreboard. Thanks to the great support from the stands who braved the artic-like conditions to cheer the girls on.
