Fixtures:
It’s a quiet week fixtures-wise but all roads lead to Ballynacally this Saturday as the Juniors take on Doora Barefield in the Division 7 League final, with throw-in at 4pm. We wish the team and management the best of luck.
Please check the Clubzap Games tab or the website fixtures listing for all up-to-date fixtures and results. The club wishes to thank our neighbouring clubs, Kildysart Soccer Club, St. John Bosco and the Clare County Board for facilitating us during our current pitch development.
Field Development Update:
There was great progress made last week on the fencing. Thanks to work from many volunteers in doing the prep work last week and on Saturday last, approximately 70-80 steel uprights were erected for the fencing of the pitch perimeter. There will be square mesh fencing between the posts, with a steel bar on top. The concrete base for the dugout was also poured on Saturday. A specialist company installed the green 1.2m spectator rail on the hill as well during the week. The fencing work will continue over the next few weeks and the new goalposts will also be installed soon. Tap here for photos (more photos have been added). The club wishes to thank all the volunteers who have given their time and effort in any way to help make this project a success.
All Ireland Finals Fundraising Raffle
To raise funds for the ongoing field development, the Club is running two separate raffles for tickets to the All Ireland Hurling and the All Ireland Football Finals. The raffle tickets cost €5 (with discounts for multiple purchases) and the prize in each raffle is a pair of stand tickets to the All Ireland. The campaign will be run via social media with the intended audience being GAA supporters of the counties involved in the finals, though it is open to everyone.
We will be using targeted sponsored social media ads but we need your assistance to spread the word as well. It would be great if you could share our social media ads (they will be posted after the semi-finals) so that they gain traction to ensure the biggest possible audience.
